The Organizing Committee of the Symposium on Tropical African Fungi (STAF 2024), It is with great pleasure that we welcome you to ATFS 2024 in Parakou, Benin, from January 10 to 12, 2024. We expect around 100 participants and the discussions will cover theoretical and practical aspects of mycology such as: In-situ and ex-situ conservation of fungi, fungal systematics and diversity, Interaction between plant and fungi, Biology of fungi, Fungi and importance of fungi and food security. The main objective is to accelerate the development of mycology in tropical Africa through frequent meetings, training workshops for young mycologists on the practical aspects of mycology and the sharing of knowledge and experience. We are aware that it is a challenge but we are convinced that we will obtain better results thanks to the contributions of one and the other through various activities associated with education, training, research and mycological services in African countries and others regions.
